This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I am thinking of buying the Acer Aspire 1661WLCi, the configuration is as follows...

    Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
    512 MB RAM,
    40GB 4k rpm HDD,
    Radeon 9700 64MB dedicated,
    DVD/CDRW Combo,
    15.4" WXGA TFT Display,
    all for a price of CDS $1600.

    I had earlier ruled out the Acer Aspire 2012WLMi, although tempting, it has come features I do not need, and may have to pay for extra. Anybody having experience with buying Acer notebooks in canada, please help me. I live in Surrey, BC.
