    Hi,

I bought my ACER Travelmate 5530G-704G32Mi 4 years ago and just about two weeks ago my laptop cpu (RM-70) started to heat up strangely.

I have opened the hatch and cleaned the components from dust. What is also strange is that there are two display adapters listed although I have just one...

The idle temp for cpu is 65 degrees celsius and if I use Chrome or Firefox it can easily go up to 85 and more.

Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks in advance.

actually no. is it easy to remove the cpu? does normal silver/silicon based paste do the trick?

    Hi,

I applied the silicon paste for CPU, chipset and GPU. CPU temp decreased 20 to 35 degrees Celsius. So it worked! Thanks.
