    Hi. Please help!

I cannot get my battery to charge on my ACER Travelmate 230.

It works ok on AC but as soon as I disconnect it switches off. The battery is registered as 0%. The battery symbol in the bottom right has a red cross through it.

I have removed the battery and checked terminals. I have run several battery check programs and none register the prescense of the battery.

How do I get my battery working?!? I have just bought this laptop from a colleague. Should I check BIOS or anything like that? I have done a full virus/spyware check with no progress.

    Please help. Thanks. Nick.

you could have a faulty battery or a connection is severed from the motherboard leaving the inability for the battery to be charged. If you recently purchased it go back to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement (brick and mortar store).

If you bought it online talk to acer support in Texas (the usa number) and ask for a warranty replacement.

Probably dead battery, run any battery health check program to see if its worn away?
