I own an ACER ASPIRE AS3004WLMI AMD 1.8GHZ with 512 memory. If I burn a DVD on my desktop and play it in the notebook I find that I have a problem with the DVD freezing up about half to three quarter way through. If I leave it in this frozen state for long enough I get a disc error or possible damaged disc message. DVD plays fine on my desktop and standalone. Does anyone know what might be causing this??? Has anyone had a similiar problem???

    Thanks.

What's your DVD drive? If it comes with a Matshita then yeah, it's possible. Matshita drives are very selective on media. I've had it burnt a DVD+R and then it refuses to read it!
