Hi all, my aspire 1520 has recently started acting oddly when the A/C lead is plugged in the "battery" icon in the systems tray changes to show a lead with ablue flash thru' it; it says charging and shows the remaining power in the battery, however the battery does not charge, it just drains and eventually the laptop shuts down even tho' the lead is still plugged in. I have had the adapter checked and it is supposedly correct, when I tried powering up the M/C without the battery it showed the icon saying running of A/C. but then shuts down (I wonder if there is a dodgy wire breaking connection?) when the laptop is shut down the battery actually does charge up so IS THE CABLE FAULTY? I am totally baffled! I have ordeed a new adapter - - - - see if that works, but I would appreciate your thoughts. . . . . . Cheers:confused2: :err:
