Where does the 6 cell battery go? Does it replace the existing battery or does it fit in the CD bay?

I bought one from PC Connection, but it looks like it goes in the CD bay?

Yes, it goes into the CD bay. It should give you a couple extra hours when used with your main battery. Modular batteries are great for someone who doesnt use the optical drive as much, especially when out and about.

Hey madmike23 - How do you remove the optical drive so you can put in the modular battery. I didn't see any instructions and can't find a user's guide with instructions...

Found the latch on the bottom of the laptop that releases the optical drive so you can put in the 6 cell battery. Works slick.
