    Hello everyone,

I have an Acer 5920g with Windows Vista Home Edition 32-bit. I have had this laptop for exactly a year and it has been running fine until about 3 months ago. Since then I have faced the blue screen numerous times.
It only seems to happen when I press the button to turn my computer on after hibernation. I am computer literate but my knowledge is nevertheless very limited. Browsing on the internet to find a solution to the problem has confused me more than anything.

The error message is as such:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 2057

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 9f
    BCP1: 00000003
    BCP2: 864E8F00
    BCP3: 864E8F00
    BCP4: 8E7F31F8
    OS Version: 6_0_6000
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini011809-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Smarahdbxl\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-50435-0.sysdata.xml
    C:\Users\Smarahdbxl\AppData\Local\Temp\WERBB91.tmp.version.txt

It is very frustrating because I was hoping to have this laptop for a couple of years.

I hope someone will be able to help me.
    Thanks in advance,

    Alex

Hi, can you upload your minidump file(s). May be able to have a look and try and find a cause, or point you in the right direction.

    Go to:

    C:>Windows>Minidump>********.dmp

If it gives you a access denied error when accessing the file(s), copy them to another folder then upload them.

    Hi Bangert,

I actually bought a programme called Driver Cure which has updated all the drivers I needed, 21 in total  . For the moment it seems to have resolved many of the problems. I will let you know if the blue screen comes again though.

    Thx for your help though,

    Alex
