Does anyone know what that means?
The sound output of the 1800 series is a standard stereo jack.
On the other hand the only way to feed an AV receiver with digital signal is through optical or coaxial (single RCA) cable.
I am fairly sure that there aren't any optical to jack cables and I can't imagine how a single channel "thing" like coaxial could be compatible with a two channel such as a stereo jack.
By the way I already tried the jack to RCA cable in hope that the digital signal was trasmitted through one of the two channel but to no effect.
Has anyone managed to get spdif sound through his 1800 laptop and if yes by what means?
In short, what cable should I use?
    Thank you in advance
