    9304 1 month out of warrantee and its stopped working

    This is the 3rd Acer laptop my son has had die after its just out of warrantee, beginning to think they are timed to die so you have to buy a new one, this was a 9304 1 month out of warrantee and it just freezes, the fans no longer come on after the initial startup, it stops no matter how hot it gets{fan was working just fine}, you cant use it for more than a few minutes before it freezes.
    I took it apart and bench tested it with a house fan to cool it and and it ran fine, played a game for 1hr and no freezing, so i changed the Turion x2 1.8MHz cpu for a 2.0 single core Turion, the fans came on and cooled it down fine???

    So does the Turion control the fan or the mobo, i thought it was the mobo that controlled the fan, can i flash it with a custom bios to make the fans stay on more??
    Any help on this one thanks

    1)Maybe the fan connector drop out/loosen from the socket when it was on X2 Processor
    2)If you are on WinXp did you install the AMD Processor Driver?
    3)The fan was choke with dust
    Mobo controls the fan.
