    Hey guys.. :(
I bought the 8920G 4 days ago. I was shutting down my laptop, and randomly, I saw these bubbles growing on my screen.
Im not pretty sure how they appeared or why. What im thinking of, I play most of the time on it, and i rarely switch it off, could it be from the tuba bass?
I have checked about the air bubbles, and some were saying its because of heat. I can sense great deal of heat coming out from the tuba bass onto the screen. Could this be the reason? I hope its not.
Is there a way i could get rid of them easily?

    Thank you.

i'm guessing they may be permenant (but that is with out seeing them)

if so it's time to start the process of returning to ACER... and when you get a replacement LCD installed.... be sure to always SHUTDOWN the PC or atleast leave the lid open while it is running.... and SHUTDOWN the PC anytime you close the LID...

with the heat the nvidia cards are throwing off... i fear you may have melted the glossy layer off the LCD...

yes it's a bad design,, and should be covered under warranty....
but when you get it replaced you'll know what not to do...

and it's not like vista takes very long to load especially using QUICK BOOT

Hmm.. the bubbles are pretty small. I cant take a good picture of them. But what im confused about is that the bubbles are appearing in far places, for instance, far top of the LCD, where heat doesnt reach. Are there any other reasons for these bubbles to appear? And i didnt get your point about whether closing the lid or keeping it open sorry :S.
Could you please list how to remove them if they were not permanent?

    Thank you.

my mistake.. i assumed they were larger and heat related

that's what i was getting at.... if the laptop is so hot as to bubble the screen then you should shut it down before closing the lid.... that's what i ment

    Hey Bigozone again, ;x
since they're not heat bubbles, and they're totally unnoticeable while the laptop's in on, how can i get rid of them? I dont want those bubbles to appear more and more. another thing, I can still feel heat at the moment coming out from the tuba bass, now, is this heat affective to create "heat bubbles"? or it is something usual and will not generate the very known common bubbles? ;s

    Thank you.

Is your laptop under warranty? I would phone Acer and describe the problem to them - when I reported my HD-DVD as not working properly they gave me a number of things to try, then said that they hadn't heard of a case like mine before so could I send it in for testing?

I'm in the UK - they paid for shipping both ways, collected from my workplace by courier, and it took less than 10 days for me to get my product back.

The only reason I suggest this is.. whatever's causing the bubbles (assuming you don't mean the Vista screensaver!! :D Sorry, lame joke) might have long-term effects on your screen which they'll refuse to look at later on!

well, i bought it 4 days ago, this makes it under warranty :D. The problem is im moving to UK after 9 days for good, and im living in the gulf, so if i returned it back for testing im not sure when its going to finish, for i dont have much time to wait. It'll probably take more than two weeks.
Anyways i'll call them and see what kind of a problem i have. please guys, if you're experiencing the same problem, post it here to make sure im not the only one with a never-seen problem.
If they receive the laptop from here, you think they can ship it to england?
