Hi, Ive been wanting to my refresh my 8204 back to a clean install but have been a bit worried about fritzing all of the original files and recovery partition and not being able to get XP going again.

I have stumbled across thew following procedure as detailed in the following site......

    http://cooltech.iafrica.com/swissarmy/howto/566126.htm

It sounds ideal, but i was wondering if anybody had had anyexperience of it, any advice would be appreciated.

    cheers

Doesn't seem to be quite right, seems to be running BartPE from a CD, but then you have to run the installer from the I386 folder ON YOUR HARD DRIVE!

This means you still need to have that available which doesn't seem to help much, what I'm looking for is more of a boot disk that I can reinstall windows from without having anything on my hard drive (because the HD may have crashed).
