    That's it really..

This weekend I decided to finally get around to moving my drive around some, repartition, check my ghost backup was good.

So I checked the backup, said it was good, I cleared down the drive completely did a restore, worked just fine, looked at the drive, complete garbage.... Uh Oh...

So now I am going to have to use the backup CD I made originally when the machine was new, but I've not tried it... anyone know if this works okay without the hidden partition? Or does it need that hidden partition to work (in which case I'm screwed).

Alra, you should not have any problems since the hidden (restore) partition is hidden, and should also remain hidden to your backup CD. Therefore your restore CD will restore the system on the next available partition (which I presume now contains your OS installation).

Okay, well I did end up having a few quirks, but got there in the end (see my other post regarding 8204's and hard drives).
