    Hi,

I tried winflash to update my bios but it killed my motherboard, what did I do wrong.

I now have another 7720G with bios version 1.40.

How do I update the bios without killing my motherboard again.

Obviously I am reluctant to do it, but I would really like to have the machine running properly.

    Thank you

Maybe sound stuttering, I don´t recall properly, but i guess it was solved since v1.43. (I do also own a 7720G and had to deal with that annoying issue)

I strongly advice you to run DOS BIOS Flash procedure, if you search the forum there is plenty of info about it, and several posts of mine explaining it properly.

    Kind Regards and Good Luck

I Had the sound problem on the machine that died, this new one has bios 1.4 and has the boot up problem.
I just would like to know what happened when i used the winflash bios updater that killed my machine, why would it do it, why do you have to run it in admin mode.
I think its a disgrace that Acer let you download this file and will not repair the motherboard whilst still under warranty.
    Acer suck!

Now I remember... The ugly "cold-boot" issue!!!

I´ve been running v1.45 since a while and no problems so far. I advice you to update your BIOS in order to get rid of all those annoying bugs (sound, stutter, etc).

Once again, do it under DOS MODE. If you have any doubts, don´t hesitate to answer.

Kind regards and Good Luck :)

PS: Btw, Acer SAT deserves to be known as the WORST Sat ever...
