    My Acer laptops both has "crystal eye" software. My Acer netbook's webcam shows up under the "(my) computer" part. If you're running vista search for crystal or cam, hopefully that would make it show up. You could also dowload the newest drivers for the webcam at the Acer site, but that site is sort of a pain in my experience.
