A few weeks back I saw a 6935g motherboard on ebay, and decided I would grab it while I can still get one.
It has a 1000mhz FSB, hot plug SATA all around, and ddr3 ram slots.

I installed 8gb (two 4gb) and it would not work. I am now running 6gb as one 4gb dimm and one 2gb dimm, but haven't tried 8gb after the bios upgrade.

I was able to install it with a little shaving of the plastic around the inside of the right hand usb port (which now includes e-SATA. (very useful for me)

I am also using an unlocked bios which gives me an advanced bios tab which is nice to have. I am not sure if that one is still out there, but I would be happy to upload it if anyone wants it.

The computer boots much faster, and am able to max out some older games like bfbc2 now with the extra ram.

    here are some pictures
