Many people have issues with sleep/hibernate states.....
The laptop just wouldn't go to sleep (screen off, hdd off, power on---> fan on) users had to keep the power button pressed till the laptop goes off, and then restart...

I played a little with power settings in vista and I noticed that problem dissapears if I disable both HDD hybrid power savings mode and hybrid sleep.

It is less power efficient but at least you won't find your notebook heated up to 100C in your bag

Many think it is because of the modded video drivers ...as fot me I think it is either of Intel turbo memory or the hybrid HDD.... I will jus wait for new drivers or fixes from microsoft.

    Hope I was useful. :)
