    Hi,

Just hoping someone can help me here

I have a Acer Aspire 5920G, it came without bluetooth, but with the button upon pressing it, a message comes up "No device"

I bought this from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=200332349997

and fitted it today, the connector was available and space for the chip to sit and screw.

I started the laptop up, and the laptop did not come with any message about a new device.

I downloaded the driver from acers website this one: http://www.acer.co.uk/acer/service.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&miu10einu24.current.attN2B2F2EEF=3734&sp=page15e&ctx2.c2att1=17&miu10ekcond13.attN2B2F2EEF=3734&CountryISOCtxParam=UK&ctx1g.c2att92=122&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=2980211862

but when installing it it comes up with no bluetooth device detected.

I dont know what to do now.

Whilst fitting the bluetooth i managed to break the connector for my keyboard but ordered a new one which should come tomorrow or friday.

But any help for the bluetooth would be much appreciated

Sorry but I have to ask the obvious question. Did you activate the blutooth switch after installing and rebooting? The device may not be detected till the switch is used. If so did the active light come on?

Have you checked the device manager (control panel) for a/ bluetooth device or b/ problem devices? Ensure hidden devices are shown by checking the view menu in the device manager.

The control panel will also have a bluetooth devices item under network and internet if the device has been detected.
