I recently bought a 5739 laptop, mainly because all the reviews said it was great for gaming as well as other things. I don't do a lot of gaming, but every no and again so wanted something punch without being dedicated.

I also got GTA IV, as I loved all the other GTA games. The reviews of the 5739 all talked about how well it played newer games so I figured it wouldn't have a problem with a game that's nearly a year old.

But it's terrible. The game moves like treacle, even on the lowest settings, and is just unplayable. I'm really surprised and disappointed. Am I just expecting too much from my acer, or is something wrong? Given the list of games tested on the 5739 I'm amazed it can't play GTA IV. Anyone got any thoughts?

    The spec is
