A couple of months back, the fingerprint sensor on my laptop started going haywire. It used to take a couple dozen swipes of the finger for it to correctly detect anything, and on most occasions, i had to rely on the password to log in.

Then suddenly, whenever the sensor detected a swipe, the RAM usage would shoot up to near 100% and the system would completely hang. I had to manually power it off. I thought the problem was with the drivers, so i uninstalled them and downloaded the new ones (FingerPrint_Authentec_6.1.62_Win7x86x64_AS5738) from the Acer website. And still, the problem occurs. Any help?
