I just downloaded the latest 1.28 Bios for my 5738G which according to acer it is an important update "that fixes abnormal display issue with snow dot for ATI discrete VGA" .... I have no idea what is a snow dot issue & so does google :D but since I have been having a lot of GPU problems ever since I bought that piece of crap so I wanted to give it a shot ..... Acer living up to its reputation and as usual making the end user suffer so after downloading the bios & doing everything that can possibly be done I still get that error "Driver(WDM) Init fail!(0x137)" .... since I ran out of options and in a matter of fact I have no idea how to flash in DOS environment :( .... I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem & can give me a solution on how to flash that in windows 7 x64 HP
