Is the xphome version broken? I have heard many people complaining about the xp home 5672's. I really want to get one, i dont care about xp pro.. but i am affraid of all the bugs that come with home(or are there?).

XP Home is fine, its more of a problem with all the other ****py software that comes preloaded and is loaded on the recovery cd.

I wish there was a way I could make a XP Home cd without anything but the OS and Drivers. Even dell lets you do that.

Well, you can just delete the software by going through Add/Remove list or get a retail version of Win XP and use that instead of the Acer supplied recovery disc.

Is there someway to extract the windows install files from that hidden recovery partition we all have?

Some people just don't like having to format and still be stuck with stuff, uninstalling it or not, it just feels messy.

if i can reformat and get it totally clean, then i wouldnt mind, i was just worried about the home models. I have been hearing about the speaker problem or something like that happening alot in the home models.
