    Hi,
Has anyone installed linux on this notebook?

I installed Kubuntu 6.06 on this one, and got almost everything to work fine.

The problems I had, was the Firewire, Webcam, MemoryCard Reader.

If anyone did this also, try and comment it.

    thanks Bye

I am also running openSuSE 10.1.
Anybody else have trouble with the video card? I got my ATI drivers installed following this guide:
    http://linux.wordpress.com/2006/05/12/suse-101-ati-drivers-installation/
Everything seems to work okay. I can use WXGA resolutions now.

I do have one problem and that is glxgears is only showing around 250 FPS. So that tells me that something is wrong. I just have not figured out exactly what.

    Update:
eventhough glxgears gave me terrible results, I installed Google Earth and I have no problems rendering terrain and 3-D buildings. So the 3-D acceleration must be working. Strange that glxgears gave such poor results.
