I just received a new 5672. It works great but I have 2 issues. There seems to be no bluetooth device,I installed the driver package from acer and it cannot detect the device. How do i check to see if it is even there? When i use the switch on the front i get a No Device Message.

Also on the speaker jacks. the on the should be for speakers has no output and doesnt mute the speakers when i plug in headphones. The other one that should be spdif does mute the speakers and the headphones have sound, but the plug doesnt fit correctly in the socket, its loose.

    thanks

Oh this was a factory refurbished unit, but the price was good :)

There probably isn't one -- not all configurations have it. You'll have a switch on the front whether Bluetooth is there or not.
If you're plugging headphones into the headphone jack... The headphone jack is tight -- make sure you've pushed the plug all the way in... no metal should be showing.

when you use the switch in the front panel you got a "No device", right?
windows will ask for drivers, press cancel, then run the bluetooth installation software.

by default the BT is off (if you didn't change it in the ePowerManager), so you need to switch it on first, then will appear.

Well I checked and my computer didn't come with bluetooth installed. I removed the harddrive cover and there is no module. I read it is mounted next to the hard drive. It is dissapointing but not unacceptable, maybe sometime later i can find and install the module myself.

thanks for the help and that speaker jack does need a bit of a push to get the connector in all the way, almost pushed the comp off the table :)

so far it has been a great computer and no excessive heat, but i do use a cooler pad all the time, old habit with other laptops.
