    what type of ram would i upgrade to? i was thinking of replacing my 2 x 512 sticks to 2 x 1gig but what type would i use DDR2 667 pc2 5300 or 5400? i read in other notebooks there would be errors or something.

    You can get either DDR2 PC4300 or PC5200. The memory will just run at the speed that the FSB does, so in the faster memory case, it will run at 533mhz. Just go for whats cheaper, I got myself PC4300 memory when I only needed PC3200 and it runs fine.
