I bought the laptop today. When I first plugged it in, the LED turned yellow when charging. From reading another thread I thought it would turn blue when charged and plugged in, yet the light just goes out after a while. Is it broken? Quick guide also says blue light should be on after the battery is charged.

I tried removing the battery, put it back in, plugged the laptop in, blue light came on for a few seconds, then went out again.

    Based on my 3810T:

    When laptop is off:

    Charging - yellow light
    Fully charged - no light

When laptop is on and running:

    Charging - yellow light
    Fully charged - blue light

More issues have crept up. In a conversation with Acer customer support they have determined it was a repackaged return. I took it back to the store.

I must say Acer support was prompt and responsive.

I should have perhaps made it a point to emphasize that it was not Acer that repackaged the laptop, but the retailer. I cannot say with 100% certainty that the sales clerk knew it, as the box was not marked repackaged.
