Hi guys, Im Matt. Joined up after seeing the thread on switching to a C2D in my 3680. All the parts are on order for the swap!! Cant wait! I've put 1gig of DDR2 ram in my laptop when I bought it and Im going to get another stick but Im not sure if Im going with the right thing. The last stick I bought is a PC2-4200@533MHz DDR2 SODIMM. I bought this thinking thats the best I could use but now Im not sure. Is it possable to use PC5400@667MHz?

Stick to PC2-4200, since the DDR2-667 will downclock to DDR2-533, thats the chipset's limitation....!!
    And which CPU are installing..??

I feel like Im letting you down but Im going with the T5200. Got it for $70 shipped. I figure 1.60ghz is enough and 2MB cache isnt bad. That plus 2GB of ram will do me fine Im sure. The only game I play is WoW and I run it fine now, just on very low graphics lol.

The T5200 is fine, but the price is a bit steep....You could have got a T5500 for ~$70....!!
Anyway, it will be worth every penny, if it delivers you the performance you want..!! ;)
SO Good Luck with the upgrade..!!
And don't forget to clean the heatsink, + Apply Arctic Silver 5.. :)
