    2023 Aspire Arcade DVD Movie stops

    Anybody any ideas on how to solve the problem I have plaving a DVD movie in Arcade?

    The films stop and start every 8 minutes or so.

    The films play normally in Windows media player.

    i have a 2025 and have experienced something similar.

    I think this happens b/c the dvd actually loads into memory when you use Arcade rather than playing from the CD (if i recall, the cd wasn't spinning during dvd playback, which seemed odd to me). So i assume the memory needs to reload every so often, and hence the pauses.

    I'm not sure if this happens when pluged in as well.


    I assume that this is intended behavior to maximize battery life when playing DVDs.

    I think you are right, it is buffering data (doesn't do it with media player).

    I think the software for Arcade might be written in Linux and is conflicting with Windows.

    Solution: don't use Arcade when PC is booted up.
