I have an Aspire 5024WLMi that freezes when I insert my new 2 GB Kingston Ultimate (120x) SD-card in the internal cardreader. Nomatter how or when I insert it the pc freezes or is VERY slow. The card shows up (as a SD3-Device) in My Computer (sometimes) but it is not accessible! The card works fine in other external cardreaders and in digital cameras...
I have searched for updated drivers but without success. The drivers in my laptop is the original {TI7421 5in1 Card Reader v7.7.0.262} but on Acers driver page it seems to be the same ones! Are there any other updated drivers I should be aware of ?
If anybody has experienced simular problem with their Acer laptop I would love to hear about it and of course, a solution will be very welcome :)

    Greetings
    Tim

PS. The system is running WinXP Home SP2 - danish

hmm, nobody has any clue as to what could be wrong???
I myself suspect the internal cardreader is incompatible with either 2GB cards or Kingston cards... can anybody confirm that?
Also, a possibility could be to upgrade the BIOS but my current version is 1.20 and the newest one on Acer's site is 1.18 !?!?
    Any suggestions?

    Greetings
    Tim

try getting drives form the kingston site it might just that you need there drivers. try that if it doesn't work try a diffrent card(if you have any) in the same slot, the would prove there sis omething wrong with the card if it works. but if it doesn't then there is something wrong with the computer.
