I just bought an 1810T two days ago. It is suppose to have an 8+ hour battery. However, with the setting on Power Saver it is the BatteryBar utility is telling me 6 1/2 hours after a full charge.

Does this sound right? I've read others saying you get an honest 8 hours doing web surfing, which is what I've been doing.

Did you by any chance do a fresh Install of Windows 7? Many people -including me- have reported that it saves a lot of battery life.
I`m currently writing from my 1810T and its reporting 5:40 battery left with 77% left.l
I get a full lifetime of around 8, 8:20 hours!

Depends on the use also beware

I've not tried that. Is the reason that saves battery time due to the removal of bloatware? How do I do a reinstall? Is it throught eRecovery? Are other applications I've added wiped out?

Yeah pretty much everything will get wiped out.

There is a topic somewhere in this forum (try pages 2-3) where it says step-by-step how to make a fresh install of Windows 7 using your Key that came with your new 1810.

I cant say with 100% certainty that it will boost you to up to 8hours of battery, but we all know that bloatware does nothing good but drain!

Before the format, create all the recovery disks and then start searching for clues!
