for the zalman nc1000, how do you unscrew it? i unscrew the 4 screws on the top, but it still hard to separate them to change the fans.
any idea how you can unscrew it to change or clean the 2 fans?
    thanks

If you just want to clean the fan,you can use compressed air from underneath.

I have Nc2000 and has never tried to take it off.

Poor idea to replace fans but i believe the screws are under the feet. I highly recomend you dont do it if you couldnt even find the screws since they are NOT standard fans

i c, is it normal if the fans have noise, as it speeds up it gets louder?

oh well if cant screw it, that mean i better use it often and get replacement within year of warranty.

Of course, look at wind fast wind is loud.

If you want to clean it just

    1)turn it off
    2)unplug it
3)blow canned air through the fans
    4) your done

focus [the compressed air] on the vents... the fans are usually not clogged up as much as vents.
