i have a thinkpad t61. i had a 90w power cord with it. but it broke. while i was waiting to order a new one, i used my moms and dads thinkpad cords. which were 65w and 90w. both worked fine. the 65w is smaller which i sort of like. and while looking online, my mom saw the 65w was cheaper, so we thought with the portability and cheaper price, the 65w would be the better decision. i just want to make sure that using a lower watt cord won't do anything bad. if the only thing is it takes longer to charge my battery, than im completely fine with thta.

What you'll need is something with the exact same voltage, but if it has a lower amperage it will be ok it will just charge slower...

But I suggest that if you find one with the same voltage but higher amperage not to use it, because although it WILL give you a quicker charge, in the long run it is bad for the battery's run time. :)

    Hope this helps!

ok. just what i wanted to hear lol. because i only have a canvas messenger bag. so the littler brick helps a lot. and i read on lenovo and they said the only difference they issue the 2 watt cords for is 65w for integrated graphics and 90 for discrete. so yay!
