I'm in dire need of a waterproof backpack. I've bought "waterproof" backpacks before and well lets just say my cellphone doesn't work anymore.

I'm going to be using this backpack for quite a bit of traveling and I need it to hold at the very least my 15.4in laptop and a spare set of clothing. Also, the more padding on the shoulder straps, the better.

    Can anyone recommend me one?

no messengers please or rolling thingys please!

i saw a nice one today, sorry don't remember the model name but it was made by Targus and it was on sale at Fry's Electronics. It has a folding flap over the main compartments so it protects everything inside and the inside is nicely padded for a big laptop.

How about the lowepro dryzone series? They're camera bags but should be able to hold a laptop, just don't expect your stuff to be very well organised. Completely waterproof.

I use SealLine bags for white-water canoeing. They really keep things dry. Those products linked to by keh look like just the ticket for you.
