i cant decide between these two. both seem to have good points. i even thought about the mx because of the nice shape but i figured that its too big.

If you want the smallest mouse possible that is still comfortable, the VX Nano is nice. But personally I think the VX Revolution is small enough to be still very comfortable on the hand. So I say VX Revolution.
-
NANOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Because of the really tiny receiver, don't need to always unplug it. -
-
Yeah, I love how the receiver is so small on the VX Nano. The VX Revolution's USB receiver is so big...its larger than some flash drives lol.
But actually using the mouse I think the VX Revolution is more comfortable. -
i think the revolution would fit more comfortably than the nano but the receiver is bigger and it uses 1AA and not 2AAA
-
I was debating between the MX and the VX. The MX is difinitely more comfy but I went for the VX for portability and less bits to carry. I thought the VX was a bit small already so the Nano would be too small for me. plus you get the extra zoom buttons on the VX. So go for the VX IMO.
-
Go for the VX. I agree with ppen1, any smaller than the VX would be uncomfortable to use, at least for my average sized hands. The one AA is also very convenient. I would only go for the nano as a travel mouse (light usage). If you use your PC for more than three hours a day definitely go with the VX.

I saw both in the shops around a month ago, but after playing with them, I went with the VX Revolution. The Nano looked good, and the receiver is obviously brilliant, but the Nano's smaller size may be an issue for some people, plus it's ambidextrous design didn't feel quite as nice as the right-handed VX Revolution (obviously this is different if you're left handed).
That said, when I unboxed my VX Revolution it didn't feel too great. The zoom slider was stiff, the mouse buttons were fractionally misaligned which made side-scrolling (via the wheel) difficult, and there was a considerable degree of flex in the construction. I thought these were just minor quirks that I would learn to live with, but to make things worse the mouse just died after six days (and less than a few hours actual usage). To Logitech's credit they are sending a replacement (I can't return to the retailer for complicated reasons), but I have to send the old receiver and battery cover to Switzerland to complete the RMA (I hope Logitech include an prepaid envelope with the new mouse, but I doubt they will).
Kind regards
Jonty
P.S. I also have a G5 mouse and that's been brilliant, apart from some fraying on the cord, so I guess the VX Revolution was just an unlucky incident. -
7 vs 7 now >_< dead even haha. if only there was a revolution+nano receiver and maybe a middle click. its very useful in firefox but i guess i could remap that search function but then i have to move my finger off the wheel to scroll
-
I've also been trying to decide on that. Right now, I'm totally comfortable with my nano-sized notebook mouse(it's falling apart though), but I'm willing to try the larger, vx revolution.
Can anybody comment on the stiffness of the middle click? The hyper-scrolling is dandy and all, but it's not worth it if the middle button is going to be harder to push. -
Definitely go with the revolution. It think the nano is bit bit too small. Now if only they would make a special edition VX revolution with the micro usb dongle from the nano....Perfect notebook mouse!!
-
Anybody know if it's possible to get the VX revolution to work with the nano receiver? That would make life sweet.
-
dont think so, the wireless frequencies would be different

I actually very much like the size of the nano, don't find it uncomfortable at all. The reciever is a marvel of design....that alone makes it a better mobile mouse than the VX Rev.

VX revolution would be your best bet.

Well, as many people just posted, nano just seems too small for me...(I have a pair of normal Asian size hand). As a result, I am using the VX revolution. It's just sweet to fit my hand perfectly. For batteries, I use rechargable ones. Charge two at the same time, then use one while pit the other one in the bag as spare.

Does either of these mouses have the middle click function?
-
That would be the VX Revolution.
-
I chose the VX Revolution because I didn't want to loose the scoll button (which is used in the Nano to change scroll modes), it has two extra buttons on the side, is slightly bigger and generally considered more comfortable (for right handed use). The smaller reciever with the Nano didn't bother me because I don't move my laptop around very often, and the reciever with the Revolution is pretty small anyway.
Now I have it, I'm very impressed. My only complaint is that the zoom slider is a bit stiff, but it isn't a problem if you push it from the edges instead of trying to slide it with your finger pressing on it. Otherwise it's very comfortable and the scroll wheel is brilliant. The extra buttons are useful too.
logitech vx or vx nano?
