    I just got this mouse and love everything about it except...
    the black side... i hate the rough texture

    is there anyway to smoothen it to the likes of the mx510?

    That's what I'm thinking (I own one too and the rough texture feels iffy to me but I can deal with it).

    You could test it out, see what happens.
