I tried searching, but I could not find a good answer...

I'm looking to add a gps receiver/mapping software to my laptop. i'm not looking to get a dedicated gps unit.

what are your recommendations? the only one i'm really familiar with is MS Streets & Tips with their GPS.... is this worth it?

I would like mapping capabilities, gas station/amenities locations, routing capabilities, and, if at all possible, satellite imaging like google maps does.

recommend me a gps and software bundle! :)

I like Streets & Trips. I've used older versions with GPS and it was just "okay" for GPS tracking, but that was a really old version. The newest version looks MUCH better. I plan to upgrade to the latest version before my next trip.

I have/use a Garmin GPS 60C with City Select v7 (older version since City Navigator 8 just came out). I haven't used it in conjunction w/ a laptop yet but understand that it CAN be done with a program/download like Garmin's nRoute.

I plan to take a trip in a few weeks and will try it myself.
As far as satellite imaging, I would stick to Google maps since (as far as I know) they are the most up-to-date.
