Hey people. For all your Ipod owners (preferably ipod video owners, but others are fine to give their opinions) what do you use to protect your ipod from scratches and other stuff. Thanks.

A picture with your product name would help a lot too thanks.

A lot of people get the clear plastic skins that cover up the iPod. It doesn't offer much protection aside from scratches, but it does preserve the look of the iPod without adding any bulkiness. The skin stays on though and it's an absolute pain to remove from what I hear.

There are a plethora of other options of course. You can get a metal case for it, or leather cases as well. A leather case vendor that has always interested me, but I find their prices too expensive is Vaja Cases. www.vajacases.com

This is what I have. I love it. It has a rubber backing and a see through plastic front.

i have an iskin too, and it is absolutely perfect. it preserves the ipod's look, even enhancing it somewhat, feels good to the touch, and protects from falls.

I would also highly recommend this. I have it on my iPod, Blackberry, Fuji camera and Macbook.

Wow nice variety people! Thanks. What do people think about the ipod sock? It is kinda retarded that they sell in a pack of 5 or something where I only need one.

My ex got the 5 pack and I took the silver one :D . I liked it and was extremely careful with my iPod until she lost it  . Anyways, its ... cute I guess but doesn't offer much protection when dropped. Does prevent scratches somewhat...

This is the best protection you can get www.iskin.com without putting your ipod in some bulky/ugly case .. I have an atomic evo3 that I bought when the ipod video came out, but they have a new clear model called iSkin Claro.

I use an Agent18 clear case. Look around for some coupons, got mine for $20 w/shipping+handling.

Also look at the Invisible shield. A lot of people use the IS in conjunction with a harder shell (like the Agent18). Apparently, bestskinsever has an item similar to the IS for way cheaper...though the IS offers unlimited replacements (so I heard).

*Note: Not arguing with you specifically.

That is true with me, I bought an invisible skin from BSE and use a hard case over it. The invisible shield from SZ is not worth it even if it has the lifetime warranty. I personally have not had to replace any of the skins on my ipod, phone, camera or macbook.

Ex. BSE skin for Blackberry 8100. $7
ShieldZone skin for Blackberry 8100. $25

You can get 3 skins from BSE for $21 and its still cheaper than SZ. It's the same product and its well worth the investment. Save your money and buy from BestSkinsEver. Are you really going to go through three full body skins?

i found that when buying a cheaper skin for my ipod dust and dirt used to get underneath it and still scratch it. Not as bad as being out in the open however. I now use a screen protector which is basically a washable, scratchproof, removeable film that really does just protect the screen. Doesnt make my ipod any bulkier and i do find it better
