    i have a broken 4th gen 20gb ipod and the hard drive is broken. i have been searching on-line looking for replacement hardrives (ebay), but does any one have any experience with other websites selling working hard drives?

    I think they use 1.8" HD's, so check into that.

    You mean buying used via ebay or new in stores?

    i have been looking for either the toshiba MK2004GAL or MK2006GAL. It appears that a new one costs about 140 so i mine as well buy a new ipod and get the new slimmer ones. i have mainly been looking on ebay but most say they are AS-IS. i dont know, maybe i should just suck it up and buy a new one.
