I guess I wasn't clear, his computer is gone so no to his I-tunes, I'm looking for a program that will take the music off his Ipod and put it my Itunes library. I know that your not supposed to be able to, but I also know there are programs that can do it? Trying to find a good one.

iTunes tries to REFORMAT an iPod connected to a different computer from original? Jeeze, another reason I hate Apple. What if the music on there wasn't iPod DRM'ed? (sorry for off topic)

To get around this issue, disable automatic syncing. This will allow you to connect anyone's iPod without getting that message, "The libraries do not match blah blah blah". Then you can also manually transfer files (computer->iPod not vice versa).

Also, use the programs that were mentioned above to extract the files from the iPod, then just move them into your iTunes music folder if it does not automatically do it for you.

Yeah, I'd smash the ipod with a hammer and get a Cowon D2.
