    will the seagate momentus ST9500420ASG 500gb 7200 rpm harddrive work on my laptop its a dell xps m1530 and this hdd is 2.5''

    yeah it should work as long as it's not too thick for the laptop. My old laptop only supported hard drives up to a certain thickness, so other drives with 3 platters wouldn't work on it.
