This seemed to be the most appropriate forum for this topic...

I am having problems connecting my Wiimote (the controller form the Nintendo wii) to my computer via Bluetooth. I am using a Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth device (it is a built in module).

The module recognizes the remote, and connects to it, but after it connects, no information is sent/received between them (used GlovePIE and Wiinremote). The blue LED's at the bottom of the remote just flash continuously as if it were still searching for a device to connect to.

I have looked into this a bit, and it has been recognized that the blue tooth module I have is not supported. However, most of those websites are at least 3-4 months old. I am wondering mostly if anyone else who has this same module experiences the same problem, and if a firmware update or software update helps this problem all.. OR if it works in Linux.

You are going to need another program to get them talking. They can pair, but not operate without something else. Try GlovePie.

I used glovePIE (and a lesser known one called wiinremote) to come to the conclusion that no info was being transferred. I will edit my original post to show that. sorry :(
