So you decide its time to hit the seas and travel, but of course you want to bring your laptop, ipod, iphone etc. What are your recommended travel setups. I am heading from Canada to Australia shortly, so its time to do a search. So far I am thinking of getting a Belkin travel surge protector, tacking on a plug converter, and I am good to go for all my toys. What are your suggestions. Much appreciated.

I agree, price isnt going to be the deciding factor for me, I just want an easy and safe solution. I dont want to fry my elitebook, I would like it to plug in other things too such as a canadian cell phone, but thats not 100% neccesary

Genrally I just throw everything in a bag - and have one adaptop for my German power plug here in the UK.
Its useful to have devices that run off Mini USB.
I can travel with my laptop, BlackBerry Pearl, MP3 palyer and just one mini USB cable - that allows me to charge off the laptop which needs a charger - oh, and I can use mini USB to connect to the camera which needs a seperate charger though...

Make sure you have basically a "unified plug" - carry few chargers and charge of the computer - transformers are generally heavy... (not all of them)

Everything I carry is world voltage, so I just drop a couple of converter plugs into my luggage. I also carry a USB PSU (i.e. an adapter with a USB socket on it) if I want to charge anything I have in that regard separately.
