My trusted MS Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 is dying
    [IMG]

Even with new batteries it has reliable range of roughly 20 cm :D Mouse died after few years, keyboard has held for 7 years or so already. I've used an extension cable for the receiver but even it has limits. That particular model has been out of production for years but I'd like something similar. Selection in local stores tends to lean on the cheap and flimsy side.

I borrowed logitech tk820 from my living room media PC for the time being but it does not have numpad which will bite me bad next time I'm going to pay my bills. Lots of numbers to type in there. I already miss proper arrow keys and those 6 keys above them too.

There is few Microsoft desktops that I've found interesting. I haven't had an opportunity to test any of them, which is something I would rather do before purchase.

Anyone have experience on those keyboards or recommendations on other models? Either just a keyboard or both mouse and kb, preferably wireless because when I fire up my gaming desktop, the keyboard has to relocate. I do have a mechanical kb on my desktop, for everyday typing I would actually prefer a slimmer type keys and non-mechanical switches.

Tough one that. I suggest you have a look at Logitech K800. It is quite good. Sad to say that mine only last for 4 and a half years so I switched to mech.

I really like Logitech MK220, use it for quite some time. Mouse is great, while keyboard is uncommon thus hit or miss depending on operator. While it's quite different from what you're used to, it's a very nice combo, and dirty cheap on top - it won't hurt if you give it a try in some local shop.

That's what I eventually bought. I had to buy it blind, since the local store did not have one to test and I had to order one. Lucky me the typing feeling is pretty much what I wanted in the first place.
