My question is, what kind of cable do I buy to connect my L2000 notebook to my Panasonic plasma? I want to use my Plasma as my monitor from time to time. I know the notebook uses a 15pin and from what I see the input on the Plasma is also a 15pin. Is there a name for this cable I'm looking for? Where can I buy this? Thanks in Advance...

    Is it like this?

If so, you can use a standard d-sub vga monitor cable.

Or, does the TV and laptop both have s-video or dvi?

From my experience, the best way to hook up a laptop to a TV is going to be the DVI - HDMI cable. It is quite expensive, but is going to give you best resolution and the sort. Just my $.02. :)

Check ebay.com for the cheapest prices, I went to Circuitcity and Best Buy and they both want about $130 for the cable.

wow $130 is a lot of money for that cable ...yeah, it is a standard vga 15 pin.. although, on my plasma I have the DVI-HDMI hookups also, but its convenient that the vga 15pin input is located on the front and the other 2 are on the back. I have my plasma hanging on top of my fireplace mantle and its kind of hard to reach behind and connect the wires if I wanted to hook it up to the DVI-HDMI inputs.. the bracket that holds the plasma can be adjusted but its not that easy..thanks for the info guys..its time to hunt for that cable for a good price!
