Got Dell U2311 IPS monitor with display port input, and the output from my PC is HDMI. Is there any place I can find a HDMI to display port video cable at all? I googled it, and it seemed that only display port to HDMI is available, not the other way around. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Are you sure this adaptor is for "display port" as input and HDMI as output?

    Thanks ricera10 !
I talked to a startech technical support representative yesterday and he also said that product could work, but I think it does not support True-DBS or True-HD sound so I think I will have to do a HDMI => DVI-D connection, because it is cheaper.

Forget that. I'd just get the other Startech adapter for $20.

Newegg.com - StarTech DisplayPort to HDMI Video Adapter DP2HDMI

Why? HDMI cable into your computer and adapter, adapter into your monitor.

    No?
