Hey all, I'm looking for a replacement for my current headset, which was a PS2 Socom USB headset, which worked amazingly well for $20, and I would get another but its since been end of line.

My requirements are simple, but my search hasn't given me good results.

    Needs:
    -USB/BT
    -One sided/eared
-Under $80 if possible, $50 ideal

It can be wired or wireless, wired is fine, though wireless seems fun with BT. Wireless I would want 5+ hours of usage, and can be recharged and used at the same time.

So far I haven't found anything but the cellular phone BT headsets which I was told works, but I don't know.

    Thanks :)

My best advice for you is to buy from Plantronics. They make great quality headsets that are quite affordable. I will try to give you a specific headset once I find mine..

I've looked at some, and they look great, though they all are $90 from what I've found(I'm in Canada).

I've compared and the Plantronics MX500i looks awesome, but now I have to find a store that carries it!

    Any more suggestions?

Is Plantreanics good? I heard that Sennheiser was better. Maybe you should try the PC150. It does not fully cover your ears though, they are put on year ears instead of closing your ears.

I am actually also looking for a headset. But I prefer that it closes my ears instead of pushing on them. I looked for the Siberia headset (Oh my God that thing is beautiful) but my friend bought it but it broke in 1 month. He always used it good though. I don't know.

With regards to USB or Bluetooth, stick with USB for better audio quality. For my stereo headphones, that I use with my laptop, if A2DP is enabled the mic won't function. With the headset bt profile endabled the sound quality is degraded to phone quality but the mic will be enabled.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong with my bluetooth settings? I believe this is because the headsets were designed to be used with cell phones.

    coriolis,
unfortunately many of the best headsets cover both ears.
why do you want to only cover one? personally i wear them to block out the outside world's sounds :p

The main reason being, the headset will cover my Vent/Skype needs in talking and hearing other people, while my speakers will have my music and/or sounds from my games :p

I would also recommend Plantronics. I picked up a headset from my local BB and I love em. Much better than the Logitech pair I previously owned.

I found another, just piling up stuff. It's the M214i headset, also from Plantronics.
And yes, Plantronics makes some great headsets.

It's really hard to get what you want in Canada, trust me. Just look at Lenovo's US website, compared to the Canadian one.

Not just Lenovo's site, Dell's, HP's, EVERYTHING! Even though we're right at the border, so close yet so far.

sennheiser has the type you want but i think it doesn't use USB. TRy newegg.com they have a large selection.

Then use the model number to ebay for better price.

I just got a Koss KSC75 it sounds the best i've ever seen. Only 18$ on ebay.
