ok so we're all moving out of the house i'm currently in, and the landlord is clearing out stuff from the storage cupboard which has lots of just past tenants left behind. i found a pair of logitech speakers that look brand new, and they said i could keep them .

the thing is, it dosent have the usual 3.5mm connector. the input on the speakers are like the ones found on hifi speakers, where you clip 2 wires in.

any idea what i can do with them? how would i get them to work with my laptop?

    cheers

He means the old school bare wires that clip into the speakers.

I think you'd need some kind of amp or something to be the middleman, I don't think anyone makes a 3.5mm to bare wire adapter.

They might be part of a 2.1 or 5.1 system set-up. You could either get an amp to act as a middle man, or a 2.1 subwoofer or 5.1 middle speaker bar that has a 3.5mm output and plug them into that.
