No matter how hard I look, or how many different search terms & wording I use, I can just never find what I'm looking for. :(

Has anyone happened to come across a vertical stand, like the ones you see for MacBook's, except for use with thicker notebooks? I'm currently using a Sager NP6165 and would prefer a nice stand for it to save some room on my desk.

However, if worse comes to worse and I can't find something, I may just build a rack underneath my desk to store the notebook. Out of sight, out of mind. :D

There's a good reason no-one does anything generic - vents can be anywhere on a Windows notebook.

One way you could reclaim some accessory space is to get a lifting stand like the Griffin Elevator.

I d just put notebook behind a monitor then use a stand.
Extra thing to mount and it doesnt provide any benefit imo, just making connection process longer.

Some laptops overheat if on there sides, just due to the heatsinks/heatpipes.

May want to test if yours does before anything else.

Hm, interesting theory. I think it may just be too much effort to find one of these stands (or make one for that matter). So I may be going with an under mount system with some sort of external cooling technique.

Definitely have to give that a thought as well. I do have a fairly large desk, but I prefer to keep it very minimal, not to mention between my monitors, keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc I have very little room to move. Well, actually, that's a lie. I just use every inch of my mousepad and need all the room I can get to prevent my fist from going through another monitor.
