I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these USB2 to S-Video cables? Is the quality the same as a normal S-Video adapter or would it be worse ?

    IOsiris,

What exactly are you trying to do? Get your computer to display on your TV? Or is it vice versa?

If it is the first scenario the resolution you will get is like this:
    Video Capture Sizes: 160 X 120, 176 X 144, 320 X 240
    352 X 288
    Snap Shot Mode: 640 X 480
    Performance: up to 30 fps @ 640 x 480

I am thinking you can get video to your TV but it won't look very good.

If you are looking to get the TV this could be used that way, I am not sure how good it will be.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah, I was planning on trying to use my laptop as a DVD player and make it play the video on the TV but if the quality sucks I guess I'll just stick with the laptop's screen
