    Hi all,

I recently acquired an old HP laserjet printer and I need a USB-to-Parallel adapter cable to connect it to my laptop. After doing a little research, I settled on this, but before I make the purchase, I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations or tips that would help me.

Are there any questions I should be asking?

    Thanks in advance.

That should work fine, I can't really see that there is much to say about the cable, it does what it does.

I kind of figured as much also, but since I've never tried it, I figured I'd ask first and see if there was anything important to know. :)

I'll probably just end up getting the cable I linked in my first post, and if for some reason I can't get it to work, it's a small expense anyways.

It should work well enough for you to print. However, you may not find that there's full functionailty in the printer driver - I've found that the bidirectional functions don't work properly.

Yea that's what I've heard from others using a similar cable here at school. However, I just need to print simple documents so hopefully everything will work out fine.

    Thanks for the replies.
