When I take my notebook to conventions, I would like to be able to keep a small WD passport drive attached to the system. However, there will be times when I have to leave the system unattended. It's normally attached with a Targus combo lock. I'd like to extend this or some other form of protection to the USB hard drive. This USB port lock from Kensington would be perfect, but I can't find any place that sells it. Not on the company's web site, not even eBay.

Does anyone here know of a device that would perform a similar function? Altneratively, I would be fine with buying a USB cable that has a small loop where I could slide the standard Targus lock through.

    Any advice is appreciated.

Yes, I suppose they can do that. Hmm...probably best to leave the drive behind or simply encrypt it if I need to have it with me.
